The two-day Scientific Conference is an international scientific event for cutting-edge organic agriculture research conducted in Central and Eastern Europe. It offers a platform for scientific exchange and international networking. The theme of ICOAS 2018 is “Dynamic developments in organic research – strengthening partnerships across Europe and beyond”.
ICOAS not only looks at organic agriculture as a form of production but sees it from a more holistic perspective. Therefore, other aspects, such as socio-economic considerations, will also be discussed and questions, such as how organic agriculture can contribute to (regional) development or food security will be explored.
Special attention will be given to:
- Organic production
- Socio-economic challenges
- Consumers’ perspectives and expectations
- Knowledge transfer and dissemination
- Sustainability assessment
- Innovations for the organic sector
- Agricultural policy and law
